Founded in 2008 by Christiane McCloskey, CM, MS, City Midwifery provides excellent care to women throughout their childbearing years and beyond. Christiane is now only offering support for home births. Christiane is dedicated to providing informative and supportive care to women and their families at this important moment in their journey to parenthood. It is important to note that midwives in New York State are able to take care of women throughout their childbearing years and beyond.

Pregnancy and childbirth can be an amazing and powerful time in a person’s life. Christiane’s goal is to support and guide women and their partners and families to achieve the most satisfying birth experience possible. Christiane’s priority is her clientele. She schedules adequate visit time and makes herself very available to her clients. In addition to Pregnancy, Labour and Birth services, Christiane is dedicated to helping her clients with breastfeeding and postpartum issues. She is now focused exclusively on Home births.
Fees & Insurance
Pricing, of course, is a very important issue for every client. There are so many variables, depending on your individual situation, past OB/Gyn history, the stage of your pregnancy, where you wish to deliver, etc.

"What a wonderful experience"
She has been informative, caring and sweet. Every time we are on our way to her office my husband tells the baby we are going to “aunty Chris” which just goes to show how much we cherish her and our visits. This is our first baby and we are having a home birth. Chris has been so helpful and takes the time to really make us feel comfortable and answer all our many questions. We could not recommend her enough.

"Chris is everything you’d hope for in a midwife"
Chris is knowledgeable, experienced, intuitive and no nonsense. She is also warm, compassionate and so vary caring. Chris helped me throughout my pregnancy and delivery of our baby in 2020 and I now continue to see her solo. In our stressful early days of parenthood, Chris was always a phone call away, 24/7 and we never felt like we were taking up too much of her time. We count our lucky stars to have gotten to cross paths with her.
